After graduating high school, Marvin Gale Parlin completed a twenty plus year career in the United States Air Force. He attributes his educational accomplishments to the support of Air Force programs for airmen while on active duty.
Parlin attended evening classes at eleven different colleges and universities during his travels with the USAF. Even during his year in Vietnam he completed two correspondence classes with the Maryland University. He graduated with a B.S. at William Carey College in 1977 in Hattiesburg, MS.
Continuing his military career, Parlin retired in 1983 from Luke AFB, beginning a career as a teacher in Arizona. In December 1989, he completed a M.Ed degree in Educational Administration and Leadership at Arizona State University.
Returning to his native Ohio in 1996, Parlin served as a school administrator at area career center high schools. Thriving in his roles he served several years in positions of leadership with the Ohio Department of Education.
Retiring after twenty six years in education he and his wife Lisa reside in Blacklick, OH.
Mary Wolff was a director for 29 1/2 years at a senior center in Toledo, OH, retiring in December 2022. During her years with the non-profit organization, she had written many grants and secured funding for programming, vehicles and improvements to the building. Her and the staff were able to keep their "doors" opened by providing daily
Mary Wolff was a director for 29 1/2 years at a senior center in Toledo, OH, retiring in December 2022. During her years with the non-profit organization, she had written many grants and secured funding for programming, vehicles and improvements to the building. Her and the staff were able to keep their "doors" opened by providing daily 120 "home delivered" and "grab and go" meals to area seniors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mary received several awards including: Staff Award (1996 & 2019), Prism Award "Person of the Year" (2019, Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce), and The Dorie Steinmetz Memorial Community Service Award (2022).
Mary was a volunteer Liberian for Toledo Public schools. She also gave her time to coach T-Ball, Softball, Slow Pitch Softball, Soccer and Cheerleading.
In her free time, she likes to cook and bake, do crafts, diamond painting and spending time with her family. Mary and her husband have 4 children (Ryan, Michelle, Billy, and Kayte). The also have 7 grandkids and 2 step-grandkids)
Mary and her husband Bill have been married 42 years and now reside in Sylvania, OH.
